Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
This policy explains what information LifeReel collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo and a unique account ID from Google.
- Content you publish: story titles, written stories and videos you upload, along with the date you published them.
- Reports: if you report a story, we store which story you reported, your reason, and your account ID.
- Payments: when you subscribe, Paystack processes your payment. We receive your email, the amount, the date and a payment reference. We never see or store your full card details.
- Watch activity: while you watch or read a story as a subscriber, we record how long, so creators can be paid fairly.
- Payout details (creators): the bank, account name and account number you give us for payouts, which are shared with Paystack to send your earnings. We show only the last four digits on the site.
2. What is public
Stories you publish are visible to everyone, including people who are not signed in. Your name from Google is shown as the author. Your email address is never shown on the site.
3. How we use your information
- to let you sign in and manage your stories;
- to display and stream the stories you publish;
- to review reports and keep the community safe;
- to contact you about your account if needed.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Services we use
LifeReel runs on Google Firebase (sign-in, database and video storage) and uses Paystack for payments and creator payouts. Both process your information on our behalf. Our hosting provider processes basic technical data, such as your IP address, when you load the site.
5. Keeping and deleting your information
You can delete any story you published using its Delete button, which also removes its video. To delete your account and all associated information, contact us at akindeolamide513@gmail.com.
6. Children
LifeReel is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
